Prepare Your Heart for Worship

As you spend some time today preparing your heart for worship, read Mark 5:1-20. Think about the structure of the story and what all is going on here.

Here’s the outline I’ll be using tomorrow as I preach on this passage:

• The Setting (v. 1)

We’re on the other side of the lake now

• The Man (v. 3-5)

Who was this demon-possessed man?

• The Reaction (v. 6-7)

What was his response to Jesus?

• The Confrontation (vv. 7-13)

Jesus did confront Him. How did this play out?

• The Result (vv. 14-17)

What happened as a result of the confrontation?

• The Final Command (vv. 18-20)

What was Jesus’ final command to the man?
