The "One Anothers"

In Community with One Another
(Following Jesus Together)
So last night we looked briefly at the “One Anothers” of the New Testament.  My encouragement to you is to spend some time with each of these verses (and the larger “passage/paragraph” they are found in). So over the coming weeks, study some of these passages with the “one another” in mind and how you can be better engaged and involved in the body of Christ. My hope is that this will help us all to live out the exhortation we find in Hebrews 10:24And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.
1. Be at peace with one another - Mark 9:50
Is there anyone you’re not at peace with? If so, it’s your responsibility to do what you can to be at peace with them.
2. Love one another - John 13:34
Is there anyone in our body that you could express love to? Does anyone come to mind? How might you express to them that you love and care about them?
3. We are individually members of one another - Romans 12:5
4. Love with brotherly affection - Romans 12:10
5. Outdo one another in showing honor - Romans 12:10
6. Live in harmony with one another - Romans 12:16
7. Don't judge one another 14:13
Wait - I thought we were supposed to judge one another and hold each other accountable. What exactly does this mean?
8. Be of the same mind as one another - Romans 15:5-6
9. Accept one another - Romans 15:7
10. Admonish one another - Romans 15:14
11. Greet one another with a holy kiss - Romans 16:16
You might want to look at what this meant culturally and how you can apply it today. If you walked in next week and starting kissing everyone, it might not quite work.
12. Don't have lawsuits with one another - 1 Corinthians 6:7
13. Spouses don’t deprive one another - 1 Corinthians 7:5
14. Wait for one another at the Lord's table - 1 Corinthians 11:33
15. Care for one another - 1 Corinthians 12:25
16. Serve one another - Galatians 5:13
17. Don't bite and devour one another - Galatians 5:15
18. Don't provoke one another - Galatians 5:26
19. Don't envy one another - Galatians 5:26
20. Bearing with one another - Ephesians 4:2
21. Be kind to one another - Ephesians 4:32
22. Speak to one another in psalms & hymns & spiritual songs - Ephesians 5:19
This doesn’t mean that you’re supposed to have conversations in song. What does it mean?
23. Submitting to one another - Ephesians 5:21
24. Look at one another as more important - Philippians 2:3
25. Do not lie to one another - Colossians 3:9
26. Bearing with one another - Colossians 3:13
How is this different or the same as #20?
27. Teaching and admonishing one another - Colossians 3:16
28. Abound in love for one another - 1 Thessalonians 3:12
29. Comfort one another - 1 Thessalonians  4:18

34. Don't repay one another with evil - 1 Thessalonians 5:15
35. Seek the good of one another - 1 Thessalonians 5:15
36. Don't hate one another - Titus 3:3
37. Encourage others to love and good deeds - Hebrews 10:23
38. Don't forsake gathering with one another - Hebrews 10:24
39. Do not speak against one another - James 4:11
40. Do not complain against one another - James 5:9
Is there a difference between speaking and complaining?
41. Confess your sins to one another - James 5:16
What exactly does this mean? Do you have to confess all your sins to one specific person?
42. Pray for one another - James 5:16
I think this is pretty self-explanatory, right? Wait - this one goes with the previous one. How do they work together?
43. Fervently love one another from the heart - 1 Peter 1:22
44. Be hospitable to one another without complaint - 1 Peter 4:9
45. Use your spiritual gift in serving one another - 1 Peter 4:10
46. Have humility toward one another - 1 Peter 5:5
